Bahrain resumes purchases of aviation fuel from Azerbaijan

In January-April 2022, some 24,421 tons of aviation fuel worth $20.279 million were sent from Azerbaijan abroad.

According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, compared to the same period last year, exports increased 3.2 times in value terms and by 85% in quantitative terms.

During the reporting period, 10,989 tons of fuel were sold to Luxembourg for $7.762 million, Turkiye - 3,426 tons for $3.338 million, Russia - 2,633 tons for $2.543 million, Georgia – 2,599 tons for $2.044 million, the UAE – 1,238 tons for $1,208.

Compared to a year ago, deliveries to Luxembourg increased by 2.2 times and 26.1%, respectively, to Turkiye - by 4.3 times and 3.3 times, to Russia - by 9.2 times and 7.2 times, to Georgia - 4.3 times and 2.6 times, to the UAE - 27 times and 21 times.

After a break of one year and one month, Bahrain has resumed purchasing aviation fuel from Azerbaijan. This year, 113.75 tons of products worth $103,320 were sent to this country.
