The construction of a closed-type substation in the city of Khankandi, Azerbaijan, is nearing completion, Vugar Aliyev, Advisor to the Chairman of AzerEnerji OJSC, Report informs.
According to Aliyev, this station meets modern standards in terms of both architecture and technical aspects: "Currently, the process of relocating old power lines is being completed. A new 13 km long power line has been laid from Shusha to Khankandi, with a 2 km section within the city being placed underground."
He noted that the underground installation of all other lines has also begun: "Temporarily, power lines from the Khankandi to Aghdara and Kalbajar have been renewed. In the future, a line will be laid from Khankandi to Aghdam and connected to the junction substation in Aghdam. Currently, two substations are operating in Khankandi, and both are undergoing modernization."
