Azerbaijan to hold auction on solar power plant

The Ministry of Energy announces an auction for the projection, funding, construction and operation of a 100 MW solar power plant in the Gobustan district, Report informs.

According to the ministry, the purchase of electricity to be produced at the plant is guaranteed by the state in accordance with the law "On the use of renewable energy sources in the production of electricity".

The auction is conducted in the form of an open auction in accordance with the "Rule for selecting electricity producers in the territory of renewable energy sources" in two stages: a request for quotation (RfQ) and request for proposal (RFP).
