Azerbaijan shares data on electricity export/import

Azerbaijan imported 44.3 million kWh of electricity in the first three months of this year, Report informs, referring to the Ministry of Energy.
Compared to the corresponding period in 2023, imports rose by 13 million kWh, or 41.5%.
In March alone, Azerbaijan imported 11.8 million kWh of electricity, representing an increase of 1.6 million kWh, or 15.7%, from the same month of last year.
In the first quarter of 2024, Azerbaijan’s electricity exports stood at 360.3 million kWh, which is 878.6 million kWh, or 3.4-fold, less than a year ago.
Meanwhile, in March of this year, the country’s electricity exports fell by 263.1 million kWh, or 2.9-fold, to 139.8 million kWh.
