Azerbaijan's RON-95 gasoline imports from Greece soar

In January-August 2024, Azerbaijan imported 41,816 tons of RON-95 (Premium) automobile gasoline worth $41.1 million, Report informs citing the State Statistical Committee.

This is 0.3% less in value terms and 4.4% less in quantity compared to the same period in 2023.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 15,545 tons of gasoline (-51%) from Russia for $14.3 million (-52%), 14,166 tons (-4%) from Belarus for $13.82 million (+2.9%), 6,585 tons (+2.3 times) from Greece for $7.12 million (+2.3 times), 2,553 tons (no supply a year ago) from Bulgaria for $2.82 million, and 2,184 tons (-61%) from Romania for $2.33 million (-59%).

Russia accounted for 46.8% of the 86,000 tons of RON-95 gasoline Azerbaijan imported from seven countries in 2023 and Belarus for 25%.
