Azerbaijan’s methanol production grows by 43% in 2022

In 2022, a total of 534,500 tons of methanol (methyl alcohol) were produced in Azerbaijan, 41.4% more year on year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
As of January 1, 2023, the finished products made up 35,000 tons.
Methanol production is carried out at the Methanol Plant of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in the Garadagh district, near Baku.
The Methanol Plant was commissioned in 2013.
