Azerbaijan exported 8.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Europe in the initial eight months of 2024, marking an increase of 10.5% or 0.8 billion cubic meters year-on-year, Report informs, referring to Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry.
Overall, Azerbaijan exported 16.4 billion cubic meters of gas in January-August of this year, which is 3.1% more than in the corresponding period of 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan sold 6.5 billion cubic meters of gas to Türkiye (0.2 billion cubic meters less YoY), and 1.5 billion cubic meters to Georgia (No change YoY).
In the eight months, about 3.7 billion cubic meters of gas were transported to Türkiye via the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP), which is a decline of 2.6% or 0.1 billion cubic meters year-on-year.
