Azerbaijan's Energy Ministry to cooperate with foreign companies in construction of wind farms, solar power plants

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Energy will cooperate with the American Nobel Energy and the Spanish Elecnor in the construction of wind and solar power plants.

Report informs citing the Ministry that the sides signed agreements within the framework of the 10th meeting of the Advisory Council of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) and the 2nd meeting of the Advisory Council on Green Energy in Baku.

A memorandum of understanding signed between the Ministry of Energy and Nobel Energy provides for the construction of a 100 MW solar power plant in the Jabrayil district. The agreement also provides for cooperation in the production, sale and consumption of electricity.

The ministry also signed a memorandum with the Spanish company Elecnor on cooperation in the implementation of a 70 MW wind power plant project in the Garadagh district.
