Azerbaijan resumes purchases of oil bitumen from Iraq

In January-October 2024, Azerbaijan exported 1,191 tons of oil bitumen worth $220,350, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

This is 46% less in value and 28% less in quantity compared to the same period in 2023.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan sold oil bitumen only to Georgia.

In the ten months of 2024, Azerbaijan imported 121.2 tons (-21%) of oil bitumen worth $38,200 (+9%).

Azerbaijan purchased 98.06 tons worth $30,950 from Iraq and 23.14 tons (-82%) worth $7,250 (-76%) from Russia.

Azerbaijan has resumed supplies from Iraq after a 3-year and 8-month break.
