Azerbaijan reduces imports of RON-92 gasoline

In January-August 2024, Azerbaijan imported 46,927.48 tons of RON-92 automobile gasoline, 20% less compared to the same period in 2023, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistics Committee.

According to the committee, the value of imported gasoline during this period exceeded $38.5 million (28.9% less).

Azerbaijan purchased 41,793.38 tons (2.8 times less) of RON-92 gasoline worth over $33.198 million (2.8 times more) from Russia, and 5,134.11 tons worth over $5.3 million from Bulgaria (not supplied in the first 8 months of 2023).

During the reporting period, Russia's share in the RON-92 gasoline supplied to Azerbaijan was 82%.

In Azerbaijan, RON-92 automobile gasoline is produced at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery.
