Azerbaijan posts 9% growth in diesel production

In January-May 2021, Azerbaijan produced petroleum products worth AZN 1,603.6 million, which is 3% more than a year ago, Report informs, referring to the State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, 478,700 tons of gasoline, 1,016,600 tons of diesel fuel, 20,500 tons of lubricants, 92,200 tons of petroleum bitumen were produced.
The gasoline production decreased by 5.4 %, and petroleum bitumen – by 7.7%, while the diesel production and the lubricant production rose by 9.2% and 79.8%, respectively.
During the first three months, the country produced 176,700 tons of gasoline for the petrochemical industry (+34.4%), 189,500 tons of kerosene (-10.5%), 24,400 tons of fuel oil (-36.6%), and 110,500 tons of petroleum coke (+16.1%).
