Azerbaijan posts 23% growth in gas exports to Türkiye

In January–August 2023, Azerbaijan exported 7,001,880,000 cubic meters of gas to Türkiye, up 22.9% from the previous year, Report informs, citing Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

In August alone, the gas exports from Azerbaijan to Türkiye made up 937.7 million cubic meters, up 74.04% from a year earlier.

Thus, Azerbaijan ranked second among the countries supplying gas to Türkiye, with a share of 28.6% in the country’s gas market.

In August, Türkiye imported 3,681.35 million cubic meters of gas in total, showing a 4.45% decline compared to the same period in 2022.

Russia ranked first with the export of 2,269.93 million cubic meters of gas to Türkiye, which is 7.42% more than August 2022.

Algeria ranked third with the export of 399.84 million cubic meters of gas, up 35.02% from August 2022.
