Azerbaijan nearly triples revenues from carbamide exports

In January-October 2022, the carbamide exports of Azerbaijan amounted to $181.8 million, showing a $112 million or 2.6-fold growth compared to a year earlier, Report informs, citing the Export Review of the Azerbaijani Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication.

In October 2022, Azerbaijan exported carbamide worth $18.3 million, down $1.6 million or 8.04% from the previous year.

The nitrogen fertilizer is produced in the SOCAR Carbamide Plant, of which the production capacity is 650-660,000 tonnes of carbamide using 435 million cubic meters of natural gas. The Plant was put into operation on January 16, 2019. Some 70% of the production is for export.
