Azerbaijan more than doubles electricity exports in May

In January-May 2024, the import of electricity to Azerbaijan amounted to 80.9 million kWh, which is 30.6 million kWh or 60.8% more year-on-year (YoY), Report informs, citing the country's Energy Ministry.
In May, Azerbaijan's electricity imports amounted to 19 million kWh - 9.8 million kWh or 2.06 times more YoY.
During the past five months, the country’s electricity exports were 426.8 million kWh, 826.9 million kWh or 2.9 times less YoY.
In May, Azerbaijan’s electricity exports rose by 10.9 million kWh or 2.1 times to 20.4 million kWh.
