Azerbaijan meets 64% of Georgia's demand for petroleum bitumen

Georgia imported 128,700 tons of petroleum bitumen in 2020, a drop of 41,300 tons or 24.3% from a year earlier, Report's Georgian Service informs citing the country's Union of Petroleum Products Importers.
Azerbaijan accounted for 82,100 tons or 63.8% of Georgia's petroleum bitumen imports in 2020, thereby becoming a leading supplier of this product to the neighboring country.
Last year, the key suppliers of petroleum bitumen to Georgia after Azerbaijan were Iraq (26,600 tons), Iran (9,100 tons), Russia (7,200 tons), and Turkey (2,400 tons).
