Azerbaijan increases urea export revenues by 6 times

In July 2022, Azerbaijan exported urea worth $ 23.1 million, up $10.4 million or 81.9% from a year earlier, Report informs, citing the "Export Review" of the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication.
In January-July 2022, Azerbaijan exported carbamide worth $ 121.9 million, which is $101.6 million or six times more than in 2021.
Nitrogen fertilizer is produced at the SOCAR Urea Plant in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park. The plant was commissioned on January 16, 2019, and can produce 650,000-660,000 tons of urea per year using 435 million cubic meters of natural gas as raw material. 70% of production is intended for export.
