Azerbaijan increases gas supplies to Europe by almost 4%

In January-September this year, Azerbaijan exported 8.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Europe, Report informs referring to the operational data of the Energy Ministry for nine months of the year.

Compared to the same period in 2022, gas sales to Europe increased by 0.3 billion cubic meters or 3.6%.

In general, over nine months of this year, Azerbaijan exported 17.8 billion cubic meters of gas, which is 9% more than in January-September last year.

Azerbaijan sold 7.5 billion cubic meters of gas to Türkiye and 1.7 billion cubic meters to Georgia. Gas exports to Türkiye increased by 1.4 billion cubic meters or 22.9%, while to Georgia decreased by more than 0.2 billion cubic meters or 10.5%.

During the reporting period, about 4.3 billion cubic meters of gas were transported to Türkiye via the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP). This is 0.1 billion cubic meters or 2.4% more than a year ago.
