Azerbaijan increases gas export to Europe by 25%

In January 2023, Azerbaijan exported 2.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas (+12% ) to Europe, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Energy.
In January of this year, 1 billion cubic meters of gas was sold to Europe, 0.9 billion cubic meters to Turkiye, and 0.3 billion cubic meters to Georgia. Compared to the same month of 2022, gas sales to Europe increased by 0.2 billion cubic meters or 25%.
Last month, gas sales to Turkiye increased by 0.1 billion cubic meters or 12.5%, while gas sales to Georgia decreased by 0.1 billion cubic meters or 25%.
Last month, about 0.5 billion cubic meters of gas was transported to Turkiye via the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP), which is the same as in January 2022.
