Azerbaijan posts over 6-fold increase in electricity imports

In January-July of this year, Azerbaijan exported 522.1 million kWh of electricity, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Energy.

This is 755.2 million kWh or 2.45 times less than in the same period of 2023.

Over the past seven months, electricity imports to the country amounted to 112.4 million kWh, which is 45.2 million kWh or 28.7% less than in the first seven months of 2023.

In July of this year, electricity exports increased by 66.5 million kWh or 6.4 times, to 78.9 million kWh.

Last month, electricity imports amounted to 16.9 million kWh, which is 2.8 million kWh or 14.2% less than in the same month of 2023.
