Azerbaijan, Chinese company sign strategic partnership agreement in energy sector

As part of Baku Energy Week and in the context of developing comprehensive strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and China, the Energy Ministry of Azerbaijan and China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited have signed an agreement on the comprehensive strategic partnership in the energy sector, Report informs, citing the ministry.
The document was signed by Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Vice President of the company Bo Wang.
The agreement ensures the legal framework for the agreements reached as a result of the meeting between the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the chairman of China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited during the state visit to China.
The goal is to expand cooperation in the development of clean energy and modern energy systems in Azerbaijan and to implement specific projects in this area.
Under the agreement, cooperation will be carried out with China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited on the 160 MW Fuzuli Solar Power Plant, 200 MW wind energy in the Caspian Sea, hydropower and Green Energy Corridor projects.
The agreement also covers cooperation in energy planning and network research, the establishment of a Research Center for the development of green energy use, and the training of qualified personnel in the renewable energy field.
