Azerbaijan boosts RON-95 gasoline imports by over 65%

Azerbaijan imported 12,375.37 tons of RON-95 gasoline worth over $11.7 million in January-February 2024, Report informs, referring to the State Statistical Committee.
The data from the committee shows that this is an increase of 65.7% in volume and 69.1% in value compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
During the reporting period, Russia accounted for 61.4% of the total imports, valued at $6.85 million and weighing 7,593.09 tons, representing a decline of 1.4% in value, and an increase of 1.7% in volume compared to the same period last year.
The remaining imports were distributed among the following countries: Greece supplied 1,111.14 tons worth $1.13 million, Bulgaria – 1,288.34 tons worth $1.45 million, Romania – 1,107.22 tons worth $1.17 million, the UAE – 782.77 tons worth $697,450, and Belarus – 492.8 tons worth $447,740.
Moreover, 267.21 tons of RON-98 gasoline worth $327,590 were imported to Azerbaijan in the reporting period.
The import of RON-95 and RON-98 gasoline to Azerbaijan started on April 1, 2014.
