Azerbaijan announces volume of electricity production in wind and solar power plants 

In January-October 2022, 73.4 million kWh of electricity was produced in wind power plants, 55 million kWh in solar power plants, and 163.4 million kWh in the Solid Household Waste Incineration Plant, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Energy.

According to the ministry, compared to the first 10 months of last year, the production of electricity in Thermal Power Stations (TPS) increased by 458.4 million kWh to 21 billion 933.4 million kWh, in Hydro Power Stations (HPS) rose by 354.5 million kWh to 1,463.4 million kWh, and in Wind Power Stations (WPS), Solar Power Stations (SPS) and Solid Household Waste Incineration Plant went up by 3.4 million kWh to 291.8 million kWh.

In the 10 months of this year, Azerenergy JSC produced 21,432.6 million kWh (20,075 million kWh in TPSs, 1,357.6 million kWh in HPPs), Nakhchivan AR State Energy Service - 396.4 million kWh (252.9 million kWh in HPPs, 92.6 million kWh in HPPs, and 50.9 million kWh in SPS ), Azerishiq OJSC - 55 million kWh in WPSs, and 1,864.6 million kWh in independent power plants.
