Azerbaijan adopts new bill on electric power

A new bill on electric power was adopted in the third reading at the plenary meeting of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) today, Report informs.
The bill will create a competitive environment in the field of energy.
According to the bill, electric energy entities can sell and buy electricity in the wholesale market, as well as provide and obtain services related to it. The supplier may sell electricity to consumers in the retail market following the rules of the retail market.
