13 EU countries call for price ceiling for all imported gas

In a letter addressed to the leadership of the European Union, a group of 13 EU countries has called for the introduction of a price ceiling on any imported gas, Report informs referring to the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore.
More and more EU countries are joining the calls for a price ceiling. This is the only measure that can help all countries fight the effects of inflation, limit the excessive profits of supplier companies, according to the appeal. It was signed by Italy, Spain, Poland, Greece, Belgium, Malta, Lithuania, Latvia, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia and Romania.
The price ceiling should be applied in the case of all transactions, the authors of the letter noted.
