Yukselish contest champions receive guidance from Hikmat Hajiyev in inspiring encounter

Hikmat Hajiyev, the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, held an inspiring meeting with the winners of the fourth "Yukselish" ("Ascension") contest.

The gathering was also attended by Farah Aliyeva, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy, Diaspora, Multiculturalism, and Religion of the Presidential Administration and Chair of the "Yukselish" Contest Organizing Committee, and Farhad Hajiyev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports and Head of the contest's working group.

During the meeting, participants stressed the significant steps taken by the country's leadership to develop Azerbaijan's intellectual capacity and the valuable support provided by the "Yukselish" contest in fostering the personal and professional growth of talented individuals. Hikmat Hajiyev congratulated the winners, emphasizing that their achievements contribute to the nation's modern governance system and development strategy.

The official also highlighted the successes attained through the contest's mentorship program, noting its impact on enhancing the leadership qualities of the winners. He expressed confidence that the upcoming meetings with mentors will greatly benefit the victors. Notably, Hikmat Hajiyev himself is one of the mentors for the "Yukselish" contest.

The "Yukselish" contest, established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on July 26, 2019, offers winners a comprehensive individual development plan from mentors and a monetary prize of 20,000 manats (nearly $12,000) for self-improvement. The decree to hold the fourth contest was signed by the country's president on December 25, 2023.
