The Perseid meteor shower will occur on August 13, the press service of the Baku State University told Report.
According to the information, the Perseids happen when Earth's orbit moves through space debris left behind by the comet Swift-Tuttle:
“The Perseid meteor shower lasts from July 17 to August 24 every year. It always peaks around August 11, 12 and 13.”
According to the Department of Astrophysics of Physics Faculty of Baku State University (BSU), the shower is due to peak on the night of August 13 this year.
