Parents who do not want to send their children to school will have to submit an application in two cases, said Rustam Aghayev, Adviser to Azerbaijani Education Minister,
Aghayev stressed that the first case covers those in areas with a high number of infections: “Parents living in such areas may not send their children to school by writing an application. In the second case, parents who have COVID or a respiratory virus infection at home should not send their children to school. They must also inform the school administration about the disease,” he said.
In the previous academic year, it was completely up to parents whether to send their children to school.
On September 22, traditional offline education will be restored in primary schools, and on September 29 in middle and upper grades, as well as in higher and secondary special education institutions.
