New director appointed at British Council Azerbaijan

The British Council has appointed Nargiz Hajiyeva as country director in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
Hajiyeva took office on May 16.
Nargiz Hajiyeva has been working for the British Council since 2014. She is the first Azerbaijani country director appointed by the British Council to lead the team in Azerbaijan.
The British Council, an international organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities in the United Kingdom, was founded in 1934. It is a charitable organization operating under the Royal Charter of the United Kingdom and a government agency of the United Kingdom.
