New artefact found in Nakhchivan

Baku. 18 October. REPORT.AZ/ Recently revealed in Nakhchivan ancient settlement is estimated to date back 8-9 thousands years ago.
Report informs, associate member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Vali Bakhshaliyev said.
According to him, recent findings in the territory prove human settlement in the region in ancient times: “Historical settlement was discovered near military village on the right bank of Nakhchivan river, which probably belongs to Endolithic Age. Some ceramic subjects and tools even hint at Neolithic Age. Settlement may date as far as VI-V millennia B.C.”.
