The establishment of the Ministry of Science and Education, the reorganization of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, which will consist only of institutes of social and humanitarian sciences, are an integral part of the deep reforms being carried out in Azerbaijan, Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Science and Education, MP Musa Gasimli, told Report.
According to him, the latest presidential decree is of historical significance and is conditioned by an objective necessity: "This decree, which is revolutionary in its essence, and strategic in its goals, is designed to benefit the overall development of the country. I believe that with the implementation of the decree, the integration of science and education in our country will deepen, students will get acquainted with the achievements of scientific research promptly, and the introduction of these achievements into production will accelerate."
On July 28, President Ilham Aliyeva signed a decree on some measures to improve governance in the field of science and education in the Republic of Azerbaijan, according to which some structures of the ANAS were transferred to the subordination of a number of departments.
