Minister: Improving women's education important

Azerbaijan's Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev has emphasized the importance of improving women's education, Report informs.
He was speaking during a panel session at the presentation of the World Bank's annual global report.
He noted that based on PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) results, girls at the age of 10 show higher educational achievements, however, their performance decreases with age.
Amrullayev reminded that today education coverage in Azerbaijan exceeds 99% of the population. The minister also noted that the main issue is strengthening control over education quality.
