Azerbaijan has close relations with the Arab world, the country has always attached great importance to the study of the Arabic language, the rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) Kamal Abdulla said at a round table at the University, where the International Day of the Arabic Language is being celebrated today with the participation of most of the ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions of the Arab countries accredited in Azerbaijan.
Noting the importance of the Arabic language for relations with the countries of the Arab world, he said: "Azerbaijan has close and serious relations with the Arab world. These relations are developing in the political, economic and spiritual spheres. I wish development, stability and prosperity to the countries of the Arab world."
In turn, the Ambassador of Morocco to Azerbaijan, Adil Embarsh, noted that the celebration of this day in Baku testifies to the importance that the university attaches to the study of the Arabic language.
"The Arabic language unites people, as it is the language of the Koran," Saudi Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hamad bin Abdullah bin Saud bin Khudair added.
