The European Union (EU), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and the State Agency on Vocational Education (PTDA) have launched a new training program for future vocational education managers.

Participants who complete the program will have the advantage of being recruited to senior management positions in vocational education institutions, such as director and deputy director. Only 25 applicants out of 250 were selected in the 9-week intensive program. The selection process took place in two stages, including interviews. The planned training course is 120 hours and covers five modules. It includes various areas, including leadership, strategic planning and management, monitoring and evaluation processes, quality assurance systems, financial and administrative management, and existing legislation and strategic documents in vocational education. The course aims to provide participants with relevant knowledge and skills to keep pace with the requirements of the modern vocational education system.
At the end of the program, candidates completing the sessions will be awarded a certificate.
The vocational training program is organized within the EU-funded project "Vocational Education and Training for the Future: Support for the Establishment of Advanced Vocational Education Centers in Azerbaijan," implemented jointly with the UNDP State Agency for Vocational Education. The project's primary goal is to support the modernization of vocational education institutions in Azerbaijan and the organization of education to meet the current needs of the labor market.
