EU member states and the European Parliament have negotiated the rules regulating artificial intelligence systems, including the ChatGPT chat bot, Reuters said, citing a source close to the negotiations, Report informs via TASS.
According to the source, EU states want to use AI capabilities for biometric surveillance for national security, defense and for military purposes.
Following a 10-hour discussion, EU governments resorted to a compromise to secure the support of lawmakers that oppose the biometric data-based surveillance.
