To date, cooperation between higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan and Russia’s Astrakhan is actively developing, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Science and Education Firudin Gurbanov told journalists, Report informs.
The deputy minister noted that Astrakhan hosted a number of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.
“Students of secondary school No. 11 prepared a number of speeches during the competition dedicated to the legacy of Heydar Aliyev. As a result, they were awarded by the delegation of our country,” he added.
Also, a conference was held on May 8, at which a number of important issues were discussed, including current bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Astrakhan, trade and economic cooperation, cooperation in the field of tourism, education, etc., Gurbanov noted.
“At the moment, negotiations are underway on the implementation of a bilateral diploma program between the Baku State University, the State University of Economics, the Baku Slavic University and Astrakhan State University,” the deputy minister said.
