"Work is underway to build new dormitories at Baku State University and discussions are held every week based on public-private partnership," Rector of Baku State University (BSU) Elchin Babayev told journalists, Report informs.
According to him, the newly built dormitory for 225 people has been overhauled and provided with the necessary facilities for students: "There was an unpleasant situation on the former campus of the university, so we have fenced that part. Now the area is under special protection, outsiders can't enter."
Babayev said that within the framework of public-private partnership, it is planned to build a modern campus on the territory of the old dormitory of BSU:
"We are currently working on projects, therefore after the construction of the campus, we will be able to provide not only the students of our university but also the students of other nearby universities with accommodation. Thus, work is underway on high-level dormitory complexes that meet modern requirements. There are even preliminary projects, which are beautiful in terms of aesthetic and technical capabilities."
