The Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and British company Weir have signed a memorandum of understanding.

Report informs that the document was signed by University rector Mustafa Babanli and General Director of Weir Oil and Gas Company for Russia and Central Asia Altug Bilgic.

The event was also attended by British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Carole Crofts, who noted the importance of establishing cooperation, which is in line with the set goal. She noted that the oil and gas sector as well as the education sector are important areas in Azerbaijan.

In turn, Bilgic also underlined the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding, and spoke about the company's activities in Azerbaijan.

"Weir has been operating in Azerbaijan for over 20 years. The university became the 11th university in a row, with which we will cooperate. It will be useful for all of us. We are interested in the scientific potential of this university, ” he said.
