New president of ANAS to be elected today

A new president of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) will be elected today.
Report informs citing the ANAS that the academy will hold its general meeting in the daytime.
A new president of ANAS will be elected at the meeting.
Notably, the current president of ANAS Akif Alizade is 85 years old. He has held this position since 2013.
