ANAS elects first vice-presidents at its general meeting - UPDATED

Isa Habibbeyli and Ibrahim Guliyev have been elected the first vice-presidents of ANAS with 55 votes.

Report says they were elected by secret ballot at today's annual meeting of the academy.

Chairman of the Counting Commission Urkhan Alekperov provided the respective information to the participants.

Ramiz Mehdiyev congratulated the elected first vice presidents.

Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) is to discuss its Development Program for 2020-2025 at its general meeting to start at the ANAS Presidium at 11.00 on December 28.

The agenda also includes amendments to ANAS Statutes and approval of the chairman and the composition of the Constituent Commission.

Moreover, the meeting participants will vote to elect two first vice-presidents.
