About 500 Azerbaijanis receive education in the US under various programs, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Earle Litzenberger said during a round table dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Report informs.

The ambassador expressed hope that the number of Azerbaijanis getting an education in the US will increase several times.

He noted that relations between people, education are important components of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States.

The US is working with schools and other educational institutions to improve the quality of teaching English, he noted, adding that great demand is felt for learning English. There are many educational exchange programs between the countries, such as FLEX, the ambassador said.
