The UN has studied and discussed the impact of climate change, said Inger Andersen, the UN Deputy Secretary General, Executive Director of the UN Environment Program (UNEP), Report informs.
She made the remark during a joint briefing with the Ecology and Natural Resources Minister of Azerbaijan, President-designate of COP29 Mukhtar Babayev in Baku.
The UNEP sirector noted that Azerbaijan is doing great things in biodiversity protection.
“I think we will continue our work in this direction,” she added.
Andersen also pointed out that Azerbaijan is doing serious work on waste recycling: "We appreciate this work and will continue to share our experiences."
