Baku. 14 December. REPORT.AZ/ "The air temperature was 2-3.3 degrees above normal indicators in the first half of December , and the amount of precipitation made only 33-48% of the norm," Umayra Tagiyeva, Director of the National Hydrometeorology Department at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources said.

According to Report, she said at the press conference that according to preliminary estimates, the weather will be colder in the second half of the month: "The temperature will drop compared to the first half of the month, rainy and windy days will be more common."

Tagiyeva said that the temperature will drop sharply as a result of intensifying north wind on Sunday and on December 17 the temperature will be 4-6 degrees. "Precipitation is predicted to be intensive in some days of the third decade."

Temperature will be 0.5-1.0 above climatic norm indicators in the winter season in our region. It means that the probability of frosty weather is low. "

The director noted that the average temperature of the air for winter season in Baku and Absheron peninsula is about 3.2 degrees: "The winter is mild due to the country's landscape and the influence of the Caspian Sea. Severe frosty days are not typical of the Absheron peninsula."
