Over the past seven years, water resources in Azerbaijan, especially in the regions, are declining, and this is the result of drought, Head of Water Resources Management Department at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Mutallim Abdulhasanov said.
Report informs that, according to him, as a result of the drought, evaporation is progressing, and water losses increase.
"Steps are being taken to ensure the sparing use of water. Groundwater and surface waters are protected and recorded in the country," Abdulhasanov stressed.
