The 2023–2024 hunting season in Azerbaijan will end on February 25, Firuddin Aliyev, head of the Biological Diversity Protection Service, told Report.
According to him, after the specified date, the issuing of hunting permits will be suspended, and citizens will be prohibited from hunting. The head of the service also called on the people engaged in hunting to follow the rules of hunting during prohibited times.
"The end of the hunting season is related to the biological characteristics of animals and birds. During this period, hunting is prohibited in order not to damage their population and natural growth as the period of reproduction and migration of the species begins," said the head of the Service.
