Temperatures will remain high across Azerbaijan until mid-August, Gulshad Mammadova, head of the Hydrometeorological Forecasting Bureau, told Report.
She said the temperatures are expected to reach their maximum of 35-40 C in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, and 41-42 C in some areas.
"The air temperature will be 37-41 C in the districts, 42-44 C in some areas of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and lowlands, and 29-34 C in the highlands."
