Heat persists in Azerbaijan with temperatures above 40C

Hot and stuffy weather persists in Azerbaijan as the mercury rises above 40C in most parts of the country, Report informs, citing the National Hydrometeorological Service.
The temperatures peaked at 41C in Baku and the Absheron peninsula, 42C in Nakhchivan MR, 43C in lowland areas, 41C in the Ganja-Gazakh zone, and 34C in mountainous areas.
