Five leopards have been sighted in Zangazur National Park named after academician Hasan Aliyev.
According to Report's local bureau, their photos were published on the official social media page of the Azerbaijani office of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
"Since 2007, we have been monitoring leopards (Panthera pardus), their prey, and competitors in the country using photo and video traps. Our cameras have captured five leopards together for the first time," the publication states.
It was also noted that the photos feature a female leopard with three cubs and a male leopard.
The project is being implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and the IDEA Public Union.
