Baku. 5 September. REPORT.AZ/ Dusty weather is observed in the territory of Azerbaijan.

The National Environmental Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources told Report that, according to the results of the monitoring carried out by the specialists of the department, the amount of dust in the air is higher than the sanitary norm in the country on September 5. It is caused by the dust smoke penetrating to the territory of the country from Turkmenistan with the southeastern air flows.

According to the automatic and stationary monitoring stations, as of 15:00 a.m. on September 5, 2018, the amount of dust in the air was 3.6-fold higher than the sanitary norm in Baku and Absheron peninsula. 

As for the meteorological forecast, the dusty weather conditions will last until tomorrow.
