Azerbaijani ministry urges to prioritize green energy projects

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources called for giving priority to measures to reduce emissions in carbon-intensive industries and green energy projects, Deputy Minister Umaira Taghiyeva said at the II Baku Forum Sustainable Finance and Investment, Report informs.
As the foundation of the transition to a low-carbon, sustainable future, climate finance plays an important role in the green development agenda, she said.
"By investing in renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure and climate-smart agriculture, we can not only reduce the negative impacts of climate change, but also promote economic stability and job creation," Taghieva said.
