In July 2024, Azerbaijan faced an exceptionally hot month as the average temperature across the country soared to 3.4 degrees Celsius above the climatic norm.
According to Report, Nazim Mahmudov, the head of the National Hydrometeorological Service, noted that despite the unusually high temperatures, the all-time record was not broken when compared to historical data.
Mahmudov also mentioned that in certain mountainous and foothill regions, the eastern wind intensified for brief periods, with wind speeds surpassing 15 meters per second.
